Successful Section 68 Appeal: Serious Irregularity
Charterers succeed on appeal for serious irregularity for an award that was contrary to the common position of the parties to the arbitration.

It should be noted that the success rate of section 68 appeals remains extremely low, with only one successful challenge to an arbitration award in the 2019-2020 legal year and no successful challenges in the 2020-2021 legal year.
