Danae has a broad range of experience advising clients in relation to a variety of contentious shipping matters, including disputes arising under charterparties, bills of lading, sale contracts, insurance contracts and shipbuilding contracts. She frequently acts for shipowners, charterers, ship-managers, P&I clubs and brokers.
Danae handles litigation before the Commercial and Admiralty Courts in London and before London Arbitration Tribunals and coordinates litigation in numerous other jurisdictions around the world.
She has also developed expertise in advising on the legal and practical implications of recent sanctions, particularly against Russia.
Before joining Preston Turnbull in March 2022, Danae spent three years at a shipping litigation law firm in London.
As a native Greek speaker, Danae has a particular focus on the Greece and Cyprus markets.
