Scarlett is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer in all areas of shipping, as well as offshore (oil / gas and renewables) and commodities, acting for shipowners, operators, container lines, charterers, P&I / FD&D insurers and commodity trading companies in disputes arising out of charterparties, bills of lading, vessel sharing agreements, bunker supply contracts, MOAs, sale contracts and brokerage agreements.
Scarlett regularly represents her clients in both High Court proceedings and arbitration. Recently, Scarlett has also been involved in a number of commercial fraud cases involving APP fraud, banking and dishonest assistance/unlawful means conspiracy.
She acts for clients in key maritime hubs, with a focus on Northern Europe, Greece, and Asia - Singapore and Hong Kong.
Scarlett is bilingual in French and English.

Scarlett's most recent and ongoing experience includes:
Acting for the chartering arm of a global fresh fruit business in respect of two disputes totalling approx. USD 10 million each, arising out of a fire on board a vessel and main engine breakdown respectively. One claim was subject to LMAA arbitration and involved arrests in Chile and the US. The other was subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court.
Acting for the seller of operating PV parks and wind farm licences in a multi-million euro claim for non-payment of sums owed under the SPA. The claim involved a counterclaim for dishonest assistance and was the subject of High Court proceedings.
Acting for Owners in a dispute arising out of non-delivery of the vessel under the charterparty.
Acting for Owners in respect of a dispute arising out of refusal to comply with orders to due Venezuelan sanctions issues.
Acting for major container line in respect of a number of cargo claims both dry and reefer and subject to High Court jurisdiction.
Acting for Charterers in a bunker quality dispute where bunkers caused damage to the vessel.
Acting for Owners in respect of a number of claims relating to offshore supply and heavy lift vessels including for the construction of offshore wind farms.
Acting for Owners in respect of cargo quality issues and damage to the vessel pursuant to multiple loadings under a long term charterparty for an LPG vessel.
Drafting revised contracts of carriage and bunker supply terms for the freight arm of a global fresh fruit business.
