Maribel holds a Degree in Law & Political Science from Panama, having graduated in 2017 from the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua. In 2018 Maribel was awarded a LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton.
She has 4 years’ experience dealing with maritime disputes, having worked in the marine litigation department of a City law firm and a Panamanian law firm, as well as for Venezuelan P&I Correspondents and for Miami-based marine insurance brokers.
Maribel has attended a number of courses and international conferences including the Gard Marine Insurance Course in Arendal, Norway.
Maribel deals with disputes arising under shipping and commodities contracts, such as charterparties, bills of lading, pool agreements, and marine insurance policies.
As a native Spanish Speaker, her work has a particular focus in Latin America and Spain. Maribel has written a number of published articles and is a Member of the Venezuelan Maritime Law Association.
