Thomas is an experienced commercial lawyer specialising in marine insurance, shipping, trade and transport litigation/dispute resolution, with a particular focus on bill of lading and charterparty disputes as well as marine casualty, salvage and general average. He handles London arbitrations and litigation before the Commercial and Admiralty Courts in London, as well as coordinating litigation in numerous other jurisdictions around the world.

Before joining Preston Turnbull, Thomas trained and qualified at an international shipping law firm, where he remained for a further 6 years.

Owing to his fluency in Spanish and Turkish, Thomas has particular focus on work involving Spain, Latin America and Turkey, where clients value his responsiveness and commercially focused legal advice.
