Paul is quickly gaining a reputation as an excellent lawyer and has a broad range of expertise in relation to general commercial litigation, shipping and trade disputes.
His experience includes acting for and advising clients in relation to a variety of shipping and trade-related disputes arising from charterparties, bills of lading, sale of goods contracts, shipbuilding contracts and financing agreements. Paul recently completed a six month secondment at a global commodities trading house based in London, where he advised on a variety of claims relating to trading in soft commodities including issues of force majeure and frustration stemming from Covid-19.
He has represented clients in numerous international arbitration forums including the LMAA, GAFTA and the ICC as well as litigation in the High Court and Commercial Court in London.
Prior to joining Preston Turnbull, Paul played professional cricket for England under-19s and Warwickshire County Cricket Club, before training with a global City law firm.
