Amy Stafford

Chartered Legal Executive

Amy is a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, admitted in June 2016. She has 13 years of litigation experience at an international law firm with 11 of those years in the Marine and International Trade department. Amy's experience has developed through a combination of academic studies and work based learning/training, which has resulted in a commercial and practical approach to her cases.

Amy specialises in general commercial litigation, shipping and trading disputes, such as charterparty, bill of lading and demurrage claims. She also handles a portfolio of litigated matters for a number of clients, managing the matters from pre-action stages, through court or arbitration proceedings and into settlement /resolution.

Amy has a specialist working knowledge of the procedures of the County and High Court, general litigation and arbitration procedures, and lends her support to other colleagues across the firm where required. Amy also has experience of international arbitration in various forums including LCIA and LMAA and of specialist litigation in the Commercial, Admiralty and Mercantile Courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in London.
