Cate Baddeley is a dry shipping litigation specialist, who acts for a range of clients in disputes involving charterparties, bills of lading, commodities and marine insurance.
Cate heads up our sanctions team and provides expert advice to a wide range of clients on matters such as legislative interpretation, licencing and contentious issues, usually on an urgent basis.
With over 15 years of experience in private practice, and secondment experience with an owner / commercial operator, Cate is a strong technical lawyer with a good commercial understanding of the industry.
She has extensive experience in both court and arbitration proceedings and regularly works closely with foreign lawyers in the context of proceedings and enforcement in other jurisdictions.
