Freya has a broad range of experience in general commercial litigation, shipping, trade and energy disputes. She has been described as a highly effective lawyer who provides good legal analysis tailored to commercial requirements.
Her experience includes acting for and advising owners, operators, managers and charterers of vessels, in addition to P&I clubs and London market insurers, banks and investment funds on a range of issues and disputes, including those arising from charterparties, bills of lading, ship management agreements and sale of goods contracts.
Freya has represented clients across several arbitral forums including the LMAA, LCIA, ICC, and SIAC as well as litigation in the Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining Preston Turnbull, Freya trained at a global law firm and completed a secondment in the legal team at a global manufacturing company. Since joining Preston Turnbull, she spent seven months in Oslo on secondment working in the in-house legal team of a global dry bulk operator.
