José Salom Linares

José is a dual qualified lawyer, admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as a lawyer (Abogado) in Spain. He holds a Spanish law degree, an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Valencia and an LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton.
Prior to joining Preston Turnbull, José gained experience in maritime and commercial disputes during his training at several law firms in Spain. In addition, José has extensive experience of the London insurance market, where he has worked as a Claims and Recoveries Executive for an MGA specialising in marine insurance and as a Senior Claims Adjuster for the Marine and Aviation Claims department of a leading Lloyd's Syndicate.
His practice encompasses marine insurance related disputes, as well as wet and dry shipping disputes. José is fluent in Spanish and his work has a particular focus on Latin America and Spain.
