Margarita Vesga

Margarita is a Colombian lawyer with experience in maritime law, international trade, and arbitration, advising on complex disputes arising under shipping and commodities sales contracts. She has gained international experience in both Colombia and the United Kingdom, having worked in multinational trading companies, leading law firms, and the public sector.
Prior to joining Preston Turnbull, Margarita worked as Head of the Legal Department for International Trade at a commodities trading company based in Colombia.
Her practice at the firm focuses on dry shipping and arbitration, including matters involving charterparties, bills of lading, pool agreements, and related transport and trade issues.
Margarita holds a law degree from Colombia and an LLM with Honours in International Commercial Law from University College London. As a native Spanish speaker, her practice has a particular focus on the Latin American and Spanish markets.
