Nicola’s practice focuses on dispute resolution within the shipping, trade, and energy sectors.
She predominately advises shipowners, charterers and commodity traders on a wide range of legal issues including cargo and charterparty disputes such as cargo contamination, shortfall, unpaid hire, demurrage and unseaworthiness claims. She also has experience in advising on offshore construction and shipbuilding disputes, including delay and defect claims.
Nicola worked as an English qualified foreign lawyer in Hong Kong for several years and has experience with both the English and Hong Kong courts as well as internation arbitration in LMAA, LCIA, SCMA and SIAC.
