Omer represents shipowners, charterers, cargo interests and insurers across a broad range of wet and dry shipping matters, including charterparty and bill of lading disputes, laytime and demurrage, collisions, general average, and ship sale and purchase transactions and related disputes.
He acts regularly in complex, high-value arbitrations (including LMAA and GAFTA) and in proceedings before the English High Court and Court of Appeal.
He is recognised for delivering clear, commercially focused advice in time-sensitive situations.
Omer is fluent in Turkish and has a strong practice with a particular focus on the Turkish market.
