Trainees Experience Life at Tilbury Docks with Stella Maris

Pippa Atkinson and Isabella Gardner joined Ian Stokes and one of Stella Maris’ chaplains aboard two vessels, where they had the opportunity to observe loading and discharge operations firsthand and speak with the seafarers about their experiences at sea.

Stella Maris Org provides essential practical and pastoral support to seafarers around the world. From the bridge to the engine room, our trainees witnessed the invaluable efforts of the people who work behind the scenes to keep global trade moving, yet remain invisible to many.
